Ο λογαριασμός της Ελίνας Αντωνίου πέτυχε τον στόχο της, καθώς τα μαζικά reports «έριξαν» άλλο λογαριασμό με υλικό παιδικής πορνογραφίας, ωστόσο το Twitter έκανε το ίδιο και με τον δικό της - Πρώτο trend το #free_elina_antoniou την Τρίτη
Πρώτο trend στο ελληνικό Twitter είναι την Τρίτη το hashtag #free_elina_antoniou, που μέχρι τις 9 το βράδυ, είχε συγκεντρώσει περισσότερα από 3.700 tweets.
Αιτία η κίνηση του Twitter να μπλοκάρει τη λειτουργία του λογαριασμού της Ελίνας Αντωνίου, η οποία προηγουμένως είχε εντοπίσει προφίλ το οποίο «ανέβαζε» φωτογραφίες ανήλικων κοριτσιών, σαν προϊόν παιδικής πορνογραφίας και ζητούσε από άλλους χρήστες να προχωρήσουν σε μαζικές αναφορές για να το μπλοκάρουν.
Η Ελίνα Αντωνίου πέτυχε τελικά τον στόχο της, καθώς το συγκεκριμένο προφίλ «έπεσε», ωστόσο μαζί με αυτό, το Twitter έριξε και το δικό της, με συνέπεια να «σηκωθεί» θύελλα αντιδράσεων από άλλους χρήστες, που ζητούσαν από την ομάδα διαχείρισης του μέσου κοινωνικής δικτύωσης «να λογικευτεί» και να ενεργοποιήσει εκ νέου το προφίλ της Αντωνίου.
